From childhood pranks and poignant family moments to the humor and heart of growing up, the show celebrates resilience, love, and the timeless bonds of family.
Dr. Howard Mase, who began his acting career at 87 after a long career as a psychologist, joins his daughter Marla Mase in this intergenerational performance that has captivated audiences across the country. Directed by award-winning filmmaker and theater director Elizabeth Browning, the show has already played to sold-out houses in New York, Rhode Island, Florida, and New Jersey, earning standing ovations and glowing praise.
Audience members call the show “inspiring,” “joyful,” and “unforgettable.” As one attendee put it: “What I thought was so profound was the fairytale I watched unfold between a father and daughter— and it actually moved an entire room!”
BEING SOMEBODY is perfect for audiences ages 22 to 102, and especially meaningful for communities that celebrate heritage, connection, and legacy.
